12 plants

Money Plant In stock

Money Plant

Epipremnum aureum

MVR 95

  • 12 cm pot · trails to 30 cm
  • Low light
  • Water weekly

The one we would give a complete beginner. It grows in a corridor with no window. Water when the top of the soil is dry to your finger.

Snake Plant In stock

Snake Plant

Dracaena trifasciata

MVR 185

  • 15 cm pot · 45 cm tall
  • Low light
  • Water rarely

Survives being forgotten. Once a fortnight in the hot months, less in air conditioning. More plants die from too much water than too little.

Monstera Deliciosa Popular In stock

Monstera Deliciosa

Monstera deliciosa

MVR 650

  • 25 cm pot · 70–80 cm tall
  • Bright indirect
  • Water weekly

Wants a bright spot away from the window glass — direct Malé sun scorches the leaves by ten in the morning. Give it a moss pole once it leans.

Bougainvillea In stock

Bougainvillea

Bougainvillea glabra

MVR 275

  • 20 cm pot · 50 cm tall
  • Full sun
  • Water rarely

Made for a Malé balcony railing. It flowers hardest when you keep it slightly thirsty, so resist watering it daily. Cut it back after each flush.

Dhigga bonsai — small One of a kind In stock

Dhigga bonsai — small

Dhigga

Pemphis acidula

MVR 1,450

  • Shallow tray · 25 cm tall
  • Full sun
  • Water weekly

Eight years in training. It must live outdoors in full sun — a dhigga kept inside thins out and dies within a few months. Water every morning.

Githeyo Mirus Kitchen favourite In stock

Githeyo Mirus

Githeyo mirus — small hot chilli

Capsicum frutescens

MVR 75

  • 15 cm pot · already fruiting
  • Full sun
  • Water weekly

One plant on a sunny windowsill keeps a household in chillies. Pick them often and it keeps producing. Feed monthly once it fruits.

Peace Lily In stock

Peace Lily

Spathiphyllum wallisii

MVR 240

  • 18 cm pot · 45 cm tall
  • Medium light
  • Keep moist

Droops dramatically when thirsty and perks up an hour after watering, so it tells you exactly what it wants.

Aglaonema “Red Lipstick” Only a few left

Aglaonema “Red Lipstick”

Aglaonema commutatum

MVR 380

  • 18 cm pot · 40 cm tall
  • Medium light
  • Water weekly

Pink and green leaves that hold their colour indoors. Keep it out of the aircon draught — cold air turns the edges brown.

Screwpine sapling In stock

Screwpine sapling

Kashikeyo

Pandanus tectorius

MVR 180

  • 20 cm pot · 40 cm tall
  • Full sun
  • Water rarely

Coastal and salt-tolerant, so a windward balcony suits it. Give it room — the leaves reach further than you expect.

Coconut palm sapling Pre-order

Coconut palm sapling

Dhivehi ruh

Cocos nucifera

MVR 220

  • Sprouted nut · 40 cm
  • Full sun
  • Water weekly

Grown from a sprouted nut. Full sun only, and plant it in something you can move it out of later — it will not stay this size.

Dhigga bonsai — large Sold out

Dhigga bonsai — large

Dhigga

Pemphis acidula

MVR 3,800

  • Shallow tray · 45 cm tall
  • Full sun
  • Water weekly

Twenty years old. Outdoors only, and it does not travel by ferry — collection from the nursery or a pickup in Malé.

Pandan In stock

Pandan

Raanbaa

Pandanus amaryllifolius

MVR 85

  • 15 cm pot · 30 cm tall
  • Bright indirect
  • Water weekly

Cut a leaf straight into the pot. It keeps going as long as you keep picking, and it wants a bright spot rather than direct sun.

Six years on a Hulhumalé rooftop

We started with a few pots and a Viber group of neighbours who kept asking what we were growing. The roof is full now, and we still sell the same way: by talking to people.

A plant shipped from a cool greenhouse drops half its leaves in its first fortnight here. Ours have already been through it. Send us a photo of your room and we will tell you honestly what will live in it.

Common questions

My flat gets almost no sun. What survives?

Filter by “Low light”. Snake plant and money plant genuinely cope with a dark Malé flat. Anything else slowly thins out.

Do you sell pots?

Yes, MVR 60 to MVR 450. Not on the site yet, so message us with the size you need and we will send photos.

Can I visit before buying?

The nursery is in Hulhumalé Phase 2 and we are there most mornings. Message us first so someone is around to open up.

Do you take office or event orders?

We do. Send us the space and your budget and we will put a list together. Office plants can be swapped monthly.

Ready to order?

Send the plant you want. We hold it once you confirm.
